Description
We are searching for caring and compassionate individuals that are seeking a rewarding career in the medical field. We have openings for current Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and we also offer Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) classes for individuals not currently certified.
CNAs perform non-professional direct resident care duties under the supervision of nursing personnel and to assist in maintaining a positive physical, social and psychological environment for the residents.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Previously certified CNAs must be in good standing and currently licensed byt the State of Alabama
- Completion of elementary education or otherwise show ablility to read, write and follow oral and written directions
- Must speak and understand English
- Positive attitude toward the elderly
- Must have the ability to remain calm under stress
Duties:
- Assist residents with daily bath, dressing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions
- Positioning in and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, etc.
- Prepare residents for meals and snacks, assist in feeding, documenting meal and food intake
- Understand and use Universal Precautions and follow established safety rules
- Must maintain resident confidentiality; treat resident with respect and dignity; know and comply with Residents' Rights rules; promptly report all resident complaints, accidents and incidents to supervisor
BC/BS ins, Vision and Dental ins, 401K retirement plan, Education assistance after requirements met.
