Parkwood Healthcare is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. At our skilled nursing facility, the LPN helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients. Under the direction of the Unit Manager/RN Supervisor, the successful candidate will work within their entire scope of practice. The LPN will be fully accountable for ensuring that the utmost in clinical care and safety is consistently delivered to all residents. Examples of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsibilities

Provide bedside care

Administer medications and document therapeutic effects

Provide quality documentation and assessment skills

Assist with resident comfort

Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas

Collect samples, monitor, and provide catheter/colostomy care

Help coach and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants

Up to date first aid and CPR certification (preferred)

Current LPN license in Alabama or COMPACT license

Exceptional customer service skills

Compassionate and friendly demeanor
