New Ms. Alabama Nursing Home Crowned

EdnaFarrellOpelika resident Edna Farrell was crowned Ms. Alabama Nursing Home 2014 today in Birmingham.

Ms. Farrell, age 89, is a resident of Arbor Springs Health & Rehab Center in Opelika. The Brooklyn native has one daughter, two sons and five grandchildren. She was chosen from a field of 58 contestants. You can read more about Ms. Farrell here.

As Ms. Alabama Nursing Home, Ms. Farrell will travel to various nursing homes and community events to share her experiences. During her reign, she will also serve as an ambassador for nursing home residents at several Alabama Nursing Home Association events.
