Imagine an event that brings the long-term care community of residents, rehab patients, families and care center staff together for a week-long celebration. Now, think of the event as a festival or a party.

That’s why the American Health Care Association (AHCA) has selected “Bring on the Fiesta!” as the theme for National Nursing Home Week 2015.

“Bring on the Fiesta!” calls on everyone in the long term care community to strut their stuff, and make it a week of entertaining and educating folks and attracting new guests. During the Fiesta!, nursing homes will show how “Familia, Vida and Amor” (family, life, love) are alive and well regardless of anyone’s age or physical or intellectual ability.

National Nursing Home Week begins on Mother’s Day, May 10, and ends May 16, 2015.

So, “Bring on the Fiesta!” Let the “Familia, Vida, Amor” shine like a beacon as we give residents and patients the chance to enjoy the crowds, the activities and the comradery.
