Ms. Alabama Nursing Home Verdell Goodson was a special guest at the Enterprise Rotary Club on Tuesday, February 4, 2014.
The meeting topic was nursing home care in Alabama and included a presentation by the Alabama Nursing Home Association. Mrs. Goodson received a round of applause and congratulations from the Rotarians for her service as Ms. Alabama Nursing Home 2013.
Ms. Goodson has plans to take part in a Mardi Gras parade in Mobile and will visit several nursing homes while in the area.
Ms. Goodson, age 79, is a resident at Enterprise Health and Rehab Center in Enterprise, Alabama. At her nursing home, she participates in the Coffee County Relay for Life, is a member of the resident council and plans to start a welcoming committee. As Ms. Alabama Nursing Home, Ms. Goodson travels to various nursing homes and community events to share her experiences. During her reign, she also serves as an ambassador for nursing home residents at several Alabama Nursing Home Association events.
