Parkwood Healthcare is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. At our skilled nursing facility, the LPN helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients. Under the direction of the Unit Manager/RN Supervisor, the successful candidate will work within their entire scope of practice. The LPN will be fully accountable for ensuring that the utmost in clinical care and safety is consistently delivered to all residents. The LPN is also responsible supervising Certified Nursing Assistants providing resident care. This opportunity awaits a motivated and ambitious professional with rehabilitation and long-term care experience.

Time: 7p-7a Weekends Only *Baylor Position* (work 24hrs, pays out for 32 hrs)

Examples of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsibilities

Provide bedside care

Administer medications and document therapeutic effects

Provide quality documentation and assessment skills

Assist with resident comfort

Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas

Collect samples, monitor, and provide catheter/colostomy care

Help coach and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants

Nursing experience preferred, but not required. New grads welcome to apply

Up to date first aid and CPR certification

Current LPN license & able to work in ALABAMA

Exceptional staff training and customer service skills

Compassionate and friendly demeanor
