A Jackson County nursing home received the best possible rating after a thorough, on-site inspection by the Alabama Department of Public Health.
State government inspectors found that Cloverdale Manor in Scottsboro met all of the health care criteria set forth by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
The inspectors declared the nursing home to be “deficiency free,” meaning the facility was in compliance with over 140 criteria outlined by the federal government.
“We achieved this because our employees are dedicated to compassionately caring for each and every person that calls Cloverdale Manor home,” Cloverdale Manor Administrator Kristy Wright said. “Our health care professionals and support staff along with a host of volunteers give our community the perfect mix of high quality health care and a high quality of life.”
Additionally, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services gives Cloverdale Manor a “Five Star” ranking for overall quality on its Nursing Home Compare website.
Federal law requires every nursing home to be inspected annually. In Alabama, the federal government contracts with the Alabama Department of Public Health to send an inspection team to each facility to conduct a multi-day review of every aspect of the nursing home’s operation.
