Mobile-based Ball HealthCare Services, Inc. recently recognized three of its nursing homes for achievements in providing quality care.
Orchard Quality Initiative Recognition
Orchard Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Hayneville was recognized for earning the Tier Two recognition level as part of the American Health Care Association’s Quality Initiative Recognition Program.
The facility was recognized for achieving the following Quality Initiative goals:
- Safely Reducing Hospital Re-admissions
- Safely Reducing the Off-Label Use of Anti-psychotics
The American Health Care Association will formally recognize Orchard Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center at its 2014 Quality Symposium in New Orleans.
“Congratulations to Administrator Jackie Greene, Director of Nursing Cassandra Cash and the entire staff of Orchard Rehabilitation & HealthCare for their proven commitment to quality, demonstrated by their attainment of the Quality Initiative goals,” Ball HealthCare’s Thelma Hoffman said. “This accomplishment means we are improving the lives of the individuals we serve which is what the Quality Initiative and Ball HealthCare’s pursuit of excellence is ultimately about.”
U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home Rankings
Orchard Rehab & HealthCare was joined by Eastview Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Birmingham and Magnolia Haven Health & Rehabilitation Center in Tuskegee in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Nursing Homes Rankings. All of the facilities received an overall five star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The ratings are based on a facility’s performance in health inspections, nurse staffing and medical care quality measures.
