On March 19, Ball Healthcare Services, Inc. hosted a Topping Out Ceremony for its newest facility, Providence Park Rehabilitation and HealthCare Center, located in Mobile.

Providence Park Rehabilitation will be a state-of-the-art, 98-bed skilled nursing facility designed to meet a wide range of patient needs. The one-story, 67,899-square-foot building will include a 26-bed memory care unit, a 28-bed skilled nursing unit, and a 44-bed rehabilitation unit serving residents in need of both short- and long-term care.

Kevin Ball, director of operations for Ball HealthCare served as emcee and guided attendees through a program that included an invocation, the Pledge of Allegiance led by the Blount High School JROTC, and a performance by the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Grateful Praise Team. The program also included recognition of key partners and stakeholders who contributed to bringing the project to life.

Several leaders offered remarks and shared insights on the project, including Jo Bonner, President of the University of South Alabama; Rich Metzger, CEO of USA Health Providence Hospital; and Brad Tew, Division Manager at Brasfield & Gorrie. Cherise Ball Wilson, Director of Operations for Ball HealthCare, recognized elected officials and distinguished guests before welcoming remarks from a representative from the City of Mobile Mayor’s Office; Josh Woods, Mobile City Councilman for District 6; and Connie Hudson, Mobile County Commissioner for District 2. Each highlighted the facility’s anticipated impact on the local community.

The program concluded with remarks from Clarence M. Ball, Jr., President of Ball HealthCare, who reflected on the project’s origins and its significance for the Mobile area. He noted that the team refers to Providence Park as “The Best of Ball,” as it brings together the strongest elements from across the organization’s portfolio while incorporating modern technology and design. He then invited attendees to tour the facility.

Providence Park will feature a number of advanced amenities and innovations, including specialized virus mitigation through two wings engineered for negative pressure; HydroWorx aquatic therapy for orthopedic, rheumatology, and neurological conditions; and private bathrooms and showers. Additional features include a salon and spa, chapel, media room, and enhanced digital infrastructure such as in-room streaming, campus-wide high-speed fiber, a two-way audio call system, digital perimeter access control, and 4K video security.

The Alabama Nursing Home Association congratulates Ball HealthCare Services on this significant construction milestone and looks forward to the facility’s grand opening later this year.
