Arbor Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center shared the following story as part of ANHA’s 75 Stories of Care initiative.
Ms. Lila Sith is a beloved long-term resident at Arbor Woods, where she has become a cherished presence among residents and staff alike. Having celebrated her 100th birthday last year, Ms. Lila continues to bring warmth, faith, and joy to those around her each day.
Known for her gentle spirit and daily routines, Ms. Lila enjoys reading her Bible, spending time on the front porch, and singing. Her steady presence and kind demeanor have made a lasting impression within the community.
Fellow residents have even given her a special nickname — “Grandma” — a term of endearment that reflects the love and respect they have for their dear friend.
As she approaches another birthday milestone this month, Ms. Lila’s story is a reminder of the meaningful connections that define life in long term care communities. Her life, faith, and friendships continue to enrich those around her, making Arbor Woods a place that truly feels like home.
We’re grateful to the facilities who have already shared their stories — keep them coming!
