For 36 years, Val Hagler has dedicated her career to caring for others, demonstrating the compassion, commitment and servant leadership that define long term care.
Val began her career in 1990 as a nursing assistant, before certification was required. Over the decades, she has become a valued member of the team at Ridgewood, earning the respect of residents and coworkers through her experience, dedication and compassionate approach to care.
Today, Val serves as a restorative certified nursing assistant (CNA), helping residents maintain or regain their strength, mobility and independence. Restorative care focuses on supporting residents’ physical abilities and daily living skills, encouraging them to remain as active and independent as possible. Through this important work, Val helps promote residents’ dignity, confidence and quality of life.
Beyond her caregiving responsibilities, Val serves as a mentor and steady source of support for fellow team members. She exemplifies servant leadership by consistently putting the needs of residents and coworkers first.
