Exceptional long term care is built on the compassion, skill, and dedication of caregivers who make a difference in residents’ lives every day.
Diversicare recently hosted its annual North Alabama Champions in Care banquet, which honors outstanding registered nurses and certified nursing assistants serving facilities throughout North Alabama.
These caregivers exemplify the professionalism, kindness, and commitment that define quality long term care. Whether providing hands-on clinical care, offering encouragement during difficult moments, or simply brightening a resident’s day with a smile, they embody the heart of the profession.
This year’s top honors were awarded to Alexis Brody, RN, of Diversicare of Attalla, who was named RN of the Year, and Antoine McDuffie of Windsor House, who received CNA of the Year.
The celebration also recognized numerous outstanding nurse and CNA nominees representing Diversicare facilities in Arab, Attalla, Big Springs, Boaz, Oneonta, Oxford, Pell City, and Winfield, as well as St. Martin’s in the Pines and Windsor House. Each nominee was selected for demonstrating exceptional compassion, clinical excellence, and a steadfast commitment to resident-centered care.
Recognition programs like Champions in Care remind us that behind every great long term care community are dedicated professionals whose work often happens quietly, one resident and one meaningful interaction at a time.
