Celebrating 9 Inspiring Professionals During Careers in Aging Month
Throughout March, ANHA proudly joined the national celebration of Careers in Aging Month by highlighting the people who make long term care in Alabama stronger every day.
This year, we featured nine dedicated professionals from across ANHA member facilities — each with a unique story, background, and role, but all united by a shared commitment to caring for others. From clinical staff to support roles, these individuals represent the heart of long term care and the meaningful careers it offers.
Their stories reflect more than daily responsibilities — they showcase compassion, connection, and the lasting impact caregivers have on residents, families, and their communities. Time and again, these professionals reminded us that long term care is not just a career path, but a calling.
We extend our sincere thanks to each individual who participated, as well as the facilities that submitted nominations and helped us celebrate their team members. Your willingness to share these stories helps shine a light on the dedicated workforce serving Alabama’s aging population.
As we conclude Careers in Aging Month, the message remains clear: the need for passionate, skilled professionals in long term care continues to grow. These nine features represent just a small snapshot of the thousands of individuals across our state who are making a difference every day.
If their stories inspire you, consider exploring a career in long term care.
