The Activity & Social Services Auxiliary of the Alabama Nursing Home Association today elected officers to lead the group in 2016.
The new officers are:
- President, Jamie Backensto, Henry County Health & Rehab Facility, Abbeville
- Vice-President, Kim Allred, Hanceville Nursing & Rehab Center, Hanceville
- Treasurer, Endya Gibbs, Cherry Hill Rehab & Health Care Center, Birmingham
- Secretary, Kristi Elrod, Albertville Nursing Home Rehab Select, Albertville
- Past-President, Katie Morgan, Dadeville Healthcare Center, Dadeville
“I want to say thank you to my peers and the Alabama Nursing Home Association for electing me to this role,” Backensto said. “The more the members of this organization work together, the more we can improve the lives for the people we serve.”
The officers will provide strategic leadership to the Activity & Social Service Auxiliary Board. The auxiliary serves to educate and advance activity and social services professionals working in Alabama nursing homes.
The election was held at the auxiliary’s annual meeting in Birmingham.
